Our Supporters

The Centre is funded through grants from organisations such as the Department of Internal Affairs and Wairarapa REAP and from income made through renting our rooms and offices to local businesses, community groups and for private functions. We’ve also received many generous donations from the public over the years – everything from people’s free time and hard work through to donations of firewood to keep the Centre cosy during the chilly Featherston winter.

We would in particular like to thank these groups, individuals and businesses for their generous in kind assistance, volunteer time and services:

Alan Brook Lawnmowing, Featherston Phoenix, Lamb-Peters Print, All Season's Tree Services, The Chimney Man, Alex Prujean and Jessica Smith, Graham Evans and Roger Pemberton. We would like to thank all the sponsors, businesses and volunteers who helped during the 2018 Featherston Art Sale and the 2019 Featherston Art Sale, and a special thanks as always goes out to our trusted office volunteer Jocelyn Konig. For the complete list of supporters go to Our Supporters 2018-2019.

Special thanks to the Lion Foundation for a grant for insulation in the ceiling and to Nikau Foundation for operational support and a new boiler system pump.

The Lottery Grants Board and COGS have been particularly generous over the last years supporting us with wages for the Centre’s Manager and other operational funding. This has proved crucial in allowing the Centre to be managed as efficiently and effectively as it is.
